当你完成你的学位, adding the 国际证书 will demonstrate your commitment to knowing more about the world, 还有你身边的人. The 国际证书 is available to all Dalton State students in any major and does not require any additional credit hours. Requirements include a combination of curriculum coursework, 经批准的国际活动, and your participation in the International Symposium or the annual international event hosted on campus.
Students who complete the 国际证书 program requirements and graduate from Dalton State will receive a line on their transcript indicating distinction.

- Meet with the Director of the Center for International Education (CIE) to be assigned to an 国际证书 Advisor.
- Enroll using the 国际证书 Application and Checklist
- Complete one international activity: 出国留学 or 服务学习计划
- Attend at least 3 international events approved by an 国际证书 Advisor
- Make a presentation on your international activity at the annual DSC International Symposium or the annual international event hosted on campus as a capstone requirement.
- Complete 15 credit hours in courses with international content (see the list on following pages). A grade of C or better is required for each class.
- Notify your 国际证书 Advisor of your completion of the Certificate requirements.

国际活动
Students must complete one or more of the following international activities. 在开始一项活动之前, a student is required to meet with his or her 国际证书 Advisor for approval of the activity.

- A student must complete a minimum of 60 hours of service while being enrolled in Dalton State College
- Service must be with an “international community”

- Students must attend at least three international events approved by an 国际证书 advisor
- These events may be on campus, local, or abroad.
- For each event, students must submit a one-page typed response paper about what they learned

A presentation based on your international activity will be given to the DSC community at the annual Symposium. An 国际证书 Advisor or the Director of the Center of International Education must approve presentation materials; or
Annual DSC International Event on Campus
A presentation based on your study abroad experience will be given to the DSC community at the annual international event. An 国际证书 Advisor or Coordinator of the 国际教育办公室 must approve presentation materials.
国际化课程
Students will choose at least 15 credits from the following list of Dalton State courses. Any courses completed in a 出国留学 program will count toward fulfillment of this requirement. The courses must be completed with a grade of C or better to fulfill the requirement. If a student thinks that a course has substantial international content but is not included in the list below, the student may ask their instructor to contact the Director of the CIE and petition for the course to count for the international Certificate.
